Caden DeJong: Chief Operating Officer 2025-2026

Spencer Kring | chief investment officer

Spencer Kring is a Senior Business Finance and Data Analytics/Analysis Major. Spencer joined the Royals Investment Fund to gain hands‑on experience applying the concepts he’s learned in the classroom to real‑world markets. He envisions himself moving out of the Midwest and pursuing an analyst role in the investment industry. His goal is to become a portfolio manager and earn his CFA. Spencer is also on the men’s hockey team at Bethel, and enjoys trying new foods, spending time with friends, and Golfing in the summer.

Caden Dejong | CHief Operating Officer

Caden is a Senior Business Finance and Data Analytics/Analysis major. Caden joined the fund to deepen his understanding of investing and the challenges and ideas that come with working in the investment space. Additionally, he wanted to gain practical experience and manage and grow the funds that investors entrust to the organization. After graduating, Caden will work in the banking sector as a data solutions coordinator for Minnco Credit Union. Caden is also a student athlete on Bethel University’s football team.

Luca Lombardi: Dir. of Marketing 2025-2026

Luca Lombardi | Director of Marketing & Investor Outreach

Luca is a senior Business Marketing major with minors in photojournalism and Spanish. Luca joined the fund to expand his knowledge in the finance area and to learn more about how marketing interacts with other business environments. After graduation, Luca sees himself working in a marketing role, focusing on photography and videography. He looks to apply his creative passions in a business-centered career. In his free time, Luca enjoys cooking, spending time with his friends, and eating Argentine food.

Brody Bush | Director of Research

Brody is a senior Business Finance and computer science major. Brody joined the fund to learn more about equity research and portfolio management. Post-graduation, Brody sees himself working on the investment team at the current company he interns at, Trust Point. In his free time, he likes to lift weights, play golf, spend time outdoors, and tinker with computers.

Wes Myers: Assistant Dir. of Research 2025-2026

Wes Myers | Assistant Director of Research

Wes is a Junior Business Finance and Data Analytics major. Wes joined the fund to gain more hands-on experience with security research. After graduation, he looks to work in the wealth management or investments industry. Wes is also on Bethel’s baseball team and involved in Bethel Biz. A fun fact is that Wes has a black belt in karate!

Nathan Hunt: Dir. of Risk & Operations 2026

Nathan Hunt | Director of Risk & Operations

Nathan Hunt is a junior, majoring in Business Finance, Analytics, and Spanish. He joined the fund because it offers a valuable learning opportunity and hands-on experience he wouldn’t gain from classes alone. After graduating from Bethel, he plans to get a nice job in the career path he is pursuing and continue to travel around the world when he can. Nathan also plays on the men's soccer team and can speak Spanish fluently.
